When we collect personal data, rest assured we will take great care to protect it and that we will only use the information for its intended purposes. Within Investors Trust and among our service providers, we restrict access to personal data to those who require it to provide products and services to you.
How We May Use The Personal Data We Collect
The extent to which we share your personal data will vary depending on your circumstances and relationship with us, but your personal data will be shared with one or more of the following: Investors Trust affiliates, including internal service providers (for example, our data processing company and printing operation); unaffiliated service providers (for example, printing and mailing companies, securities clearinghouses, and other entities who may provide services at Investors Trust's direction); government agencies, other regulatory bodies and law enforcement officials (for example, for insurance regulatory purposes or for reporting suspicious transactions); other organizations, with your consent or as directed by you or your representative (for example, if you use Investors Trust as a financial reference in applying for credit with another institution); or as permitted or required by law (for example, for fraud prevention). Investors Trust does not share personal data about our customers with unaffiliated third parties for use in marketing their products and services.
Along with all of the safeguards described above, Investors Trust is also committed to maintaining the privacy and security of personal data submitted by those visiting Investors Trust websites and mobile applications. The tools and techniques we use include technical measures such as firewalls, backup and disaster recovery systems, antimalware, and encryption, as well as other measures such as vetting of suppliers who are entrusted with our information, awareness training for our workforce, and the continuous evaluation and enhancement of our information security controls.
You may request, and we will provide you with, information about whether we hold any of your personal data. You may request access to, or correction or deletion of your personal data, by contacting us at privacy@Investors-trust.com. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe.
Right to Withdraw Consent
If personal data about you is processed solely based on your consent and not for any other lawful basis, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of our processing based on such consent before it was withdrawn, including processing related to existing contracts for Investors Trust. We will process any requests in accordance with applicable law and within a reasonable period of time. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Data Protection Authority
If you believe our processing of personal data about you is inconsistent with the applicable data protection laws, to lodge a complaint please contact your local supervisory data protection authority (“DPA”).
